Employee Training

Each day billions of people worldwide report to work and carry out their assigned tasks. How do they know how to do their work? How do they know what is expected of them? Is their job a career job? Is their room for advancement? Does their company provide any education for employees? These are just a few of the questions that will be addressed in this paper. The main focus of this paper will be to discuss training habits of multinational companies and to provide the reader with a good review of what training and development is all about in a 21st century company.
First, it is important to distinguish if there is a difference between training and development. “Training refers to the methods used to give new or present employees the skills they need to perform their jobs” (Dessler 135).
