Emotions

Here we examine family influences our emotional and psychological in regards to ourselves, to others and to life. Whether it be that these influences were nurturing to us, or restricting, or yet even both.

Emotions such as fear, distress, and disgust are present early in humans and can be shown to parents by infants. Even before they learn how to communicate through speaking, infants add other emotions, such as joy, anger, surprise and shyness, to their repertoire. For example, an infant who is feeling pleasant may attend more efficiently to a mobile than would an infant who is crying uncontrollably.
