Emily Dickenson

Transcendentalism in the Poetry of Emily Dickinson

Emily Dickinson was a poet who had only a few poems published while she was zoetic, but nearly 2,000poems published posthumously. Her style was traditional in configuration and subject yet innovative in content and terminology. Her poetry reflects transcendentalism in many ways such as intuition, nature, and self reliance.
In “ Hope Is the Thing with Feathers” Dickinson talks on how hope exist with in all of us without mindful of it. She says

“Hope” is the thing with Feather-
That perches in the soul-
And sings the tune with out the words-
And never stops- at all- ...
