Elizabeth Eckford in the Integration of little rock centrel high school

During September of 1957 Little Rock, Central High School, one of the top schools in Arkansas, went though an enormous change. Many ambitious parents outside the schools district scrambled to enroll their children there. So African- American decided in integrate the Central High School. There was nine African-American enrolled in the school, they came to be call the “Little Rock Nine.” They were there to get the best education possible. They also wanted the same opportunities just as the students of Central High were achieving.
I am Elizabeth Echford one of the nine students starting to attend school at Little Rock Central High, in 1957. I am very excited about starting at such a better school, then Dunbar High an all black school. They say education among the African- American student were prized and considered a privilege.
