Education

Without education, who knows what the world would be like today. As we all know, education plays a major role in the function of society. That is why I am going to explain how education affects society through the functionalism perspective. This perspective, founded by Emile Dukheim, is looked at through the macro level of society. Functionalism is concerned with how society functions as a whole. It sees society as an organism with interconnected parts working together to keep the world in balance. This theory of interconnected parts is known as the organic model. Now that you know what functionalism is, let’s discuss how education is intertwined with this theory today. I will do this by explaining educations direct function in society, and by seeing what life would be like without education.
