Editing Style

Editing style

Basic editing methods were used when developing our film. Continuity was the proposed style of our clip so simple continuity techniques were employed. The first scene also included cut aways to show a different point in time. Transitions were treated with cross fades and a cross zoom.
Two main features within the clip itself dictated the overall editing style. These included the focus character and the music. By applying editing techniques that coincided with these features we were able to give a feel and flow to the clip.

The focus character within our clip is Ebon. With our editing style we have tried to highlight his character. Ebon is a crazy man on the loose and on the run. The film represents this with cuts of a ‘chaotic’ nature and scenes that are short and jumpy.
