Eating Disorders: In your "Jeans?"

At one point in our lives we all feel that we’re not good enough. One of the most common things that we worry about is our weight. The feeling that you’re not small enough and have to compare to others is a frequent thought among young girls. They can feel this way because of pressure from others or the media. Being pressured by family and friends to be smaller or seeing all of the models and superstars that are twig thin can make a young girl think she has to be that way. Feeling this way can lead to two very dangerous eating disorders, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa.

Anorexia nervosa can start in early adolescence and is the act of starving yourself and compulsive exercising to lose weight. This is caused by someone thinking that they are too big and need to lose weight. It is a very dangerous disorder. Bulimia nervosa is also an eating disorder. This disorder is when someone will binge eat, almost up to 5,000 calories at a time followed by self-induced purgin...
