BURNOUT A CAREER ISSUE THAT I’M PRESENTLY EXPERIENCING IN THE ROYAL BAHAMAS POLICE FORCE




I am presently a detective in the Royal Bahamas Police Force, more specifically a SCENES OF CRIME OFFICER. This is a specialist area. I have been performing scenes of crime duties for the last four years. At this present time I am experiencing a total burnout toward being a scenes of crime officer. I am completely tired of being a specialist; there is no desire at all for me to perform my duties.
A scenes of crime officer is an officer who normally comes after the crime has already been committed. His job is to collect evidence, such as blood samples, bullet fragments, weapon clothing, fingerprints as well as take pictures of the crime scene (hence the name). When I fi...
