Driving

It’s every teenager’s dream to have his or her own car and to have a little more freedom. But there’s nothing that can really prepare an individual for all the responsibility that comes with driving. As soon as one sits behind that wheel he or she is in control of his or her actions. You’re also in control of not only your life but also the lives of any one else in the car or anyone around you at the time. One moment of lost concentration could lead to a great tragedy. Sometimes one doesn’t realize that it takes just one second to get into an accident, until it happens to them. I know I didn’t.
The week before spring break, I was involved in a car accident on the way to school. I had always been a cautious driver and this car ride was no different than any of the ones before. There was five minutes left in our forty-five minute drive when the accident happened. School was only a couple of miles away. One would think that nothing would go wrong in those last five minut...
