Don't throw your garbage in my back yard!

Do you ever think before you open the door under the kitchen sink to toss out your empty milk cartons or the junk mail? Don’t you ever wonder where that crap goes and don’t you feel any remorse for the degradation you are putting our home through? There is far too much waste produced in the United States but that doesn’t mean that there isn't anything we can do to combat this problem.

According to the Environmental Protection Agencies 1998 Waste Fact Book 221.7 million tons of waste were produced. That is 4.4 lbs per day per person in the United States. All of that waste goes into either incinerators or the more common option of landfills. A landfill is simply a big hole in the ground filled with garbage that leaks into our water supplies and emits toxic gases into our atmosphere.
