will submit soonFrance: France was a big target, besides Belgium for the Germans (as it was in the Second World War as well). Using out dated rifles and unreliable machine guns, the French still made a huge effort to the allies goal of suppressing the Germans and ending the war. The French commonly played a role in artillery bombardments, which made way for their forces and other allied forces to attack the enemy trenches.

Italy: Italy, although in 1914 was allied with Germany, shortly switched over to the Allies effort. With well trained soldiers, especially in mountainous regions, the Italians had a large, but widely unknown impact to the war effort. A common foe for the Italians would be the Austrians and the Hungarians (Austro-Hungary).

United States: Although they came in late in the war (mid 1917) the Americans played a major role in the destruction of the Central Powers. It was the sinking of a passenger ship by a German U-Boat which brought upon Americas involvement, and ...
