Don't Have One

During mid morning of September 11th, America suffered what some argue as the most devastating terrorist attack in world history. Hijacked United Airlines flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into New York’s World Trade Centers killing roughly 3000 people. Since the attack, President Bush has embarked on a mission to eradicate terrorism and intensify national security. In doing so, Bush has created controversy among many privacy advocates who believe Congress’ concern for national security will lead to the erosion of civil liberties.
These advocates fear that America’s war on terrorism will not make America safer and that the measures used to increase surveillance will be used to deny the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
