Don Quixote's "Impossible Dream"

Shirley Willis, Daycare Director, lights up when she talks about the Junior League’s involvement at the Dumas Wesley Center, which provides services for senior citizens, neighborhood outreach programs, and day care for children eighteen months and older.
“Children like visitors,” Willis explained. “It adds such a bit of spice to their day. Nobody from the League is in a hurry when they come here to volunteer their time. They bring excitement to each child’s life.”
The Junior League of Mobile has expanded its influence at Dumas in the past few years, adding Super Saturday field trips to the ballet and Exploreum, bringing an in-house zoo called Uncle Joe’s to the corridors of Dumas’s halls, and, most importantly, convincing children that reading is fun and essential to future success.
