Does race and culture manipulate your identity? Race and culture have a definite influence on your identity. If an individual were to take a look at their life and look at what plays a role in the identity that they claim, more than likely that person will list things like where they grew up and who they grew up with justify their identity. Taking a look at your own life style and the identity that you claim what are the influences in your own life and why do you think you turned out the way you did? Does race and cultural background contribute to an individual’s sense of his or her identity?
Many people do not pay attention to what is an influence on what we call our own identity. If something in your life were to be changed in the past such as your parents or where you grew up there would be a significant change in your own sense of identity.
