Diversity

The film, "Skin Deep," had some good points and some bad points. Some of the movie was out of date but that was because of the time the film was made. It was interesting to see how much things have changed in the past decade. Even though racial discrimination still exist today, interracial friendships are accepted more now unlike the movie. Racial tensions still exist in school, in public, or in the workforce everyday.
Some good things that came out of the film was seeing how much things have changed. For instance the student from Umass- Amherst talks about how there is a limited number of minorities there, but now in days, the campus is very diverse. It might not be as diverse as University of California at Berkley, but it is a lot more diverse now. Another good thing about the film was that the viewer got to see how each side saw things. How each side has racial issues and how each individual profiles people.
