Discovering myself with help

The first day of camp starts today, I remember when I use to go to camp but this time I was the counselor. I am going to be responsible for the lives of twenty disable people. We were warned that this was a hard but rewarding experience if we could finish the job. Spending the whole summer looking after campers would turn out to be one of the most rewarding things in my life. It was like discovering a new identity because I learn so much about myself that, I surprised myself. I learned that things shouldn’t be taken for granted, the virtue of patience, and how to put myself last.

The first day the campers arrived I can remember standing in the hot summer waiting with sweat dripping down my face. When the cars started to arrive we helped the parents/caretakers with there belongings. After the parents left we settled in the campers in there cabins and got them ready for dinner.
