Have you ever heard the saying “disco is dead”? Well, if you have it is a big fat lie. Disco has survived the eighties and evolved through the nineties. Now disco is everywhere in the new millennium. Yes, disco is alive and well in the music of today. Today’s techno music embodies the beat, fashion, lyrics, and infectiousness of disco music.
The format between disco and techno are not that far apart. The beat is similar in repetitions and progressions. Though some disco songs were slow, most of the songs had a fast beat.
