There are a number of issues which can effect a professional sports person’s behaviour such as drug taking, racism, favouritism towards an individual and different levels of wealth. During the course of this essay I will explain and compare these four different situations giving several examples of professional sports people.

The behaviour of the modern professional sports person is coming under increasing scrutiny. They are expected to portray good behaviour at all times, whether they are on or off the sports field. Today there is a massively increasing interest in sport and sports people and there is also currently huge media coverage worldwide. With this coverage sports people are gaining larger salaries and sponsorship deals so they have now come under more pressure to act as role models.
