Different Situations Triggers Aggression

Different situations call for different actions to be taken. In the story Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston, Delia Jones’ relationship with her abusive husband forces her to be aggressive, while in the story Livvie by Eudora Welty, Livvie’s marriage to her hopeless husband brings her to be a passionate person. Although both Delia and Livvie have useless husbands, the variations in their religious faith, economic dependence, and husband’s temper inspires them to confront their husbands differently.
