Different Culture, Same Fairy Tale

Fairy tales have been around for a long time. Practically every culture has them. You will find that many of the fairy tales are told in slightly different ways depending on the country telling the story. Although the plot and moral of the story might remain the same, there are times where changes were made to the fairy tale to fit into the country’s history and beliefs. Many different factors will be present that will influence how different the fairy tales are told. For example, in the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty”,
there are various versions available. I will be focusing on the Arabic, Italian, and French versions of the fairy tale that dates back to 1528 and was an Arthurian romance tale.(Heiner,Heidi). A point of focus I will be concentrating on will be to define what the distinctive differences were in the different versions of the fairy tale “Sleeping Beauty”.
