Die Towards Immortalization

The Snows of Kilimanjaro is one of Hemingway¡¯s best short stories. Hemingway¡¯s style and spirit are fully presented in this story: the use of simple words, the subtle description of human psychology, paragraphs of stream of conscious, and the thought about death.
The story tells us the last day of Harry. Along with the dialogues between Harry and Helen, Harry¡¯s mental activities, his dreamland and rainbow, we get to know the whole life of Harry. We experience Harry¡¯s process of dying. And together with him, we also experience Harry¡¯s boredom of his corrupt life, his deeply self-reflection and then to the disillusionment. At last, we find the essence of life and get the immortalization of the spirit. The story impresses me most is the word ¡°die¡±, which was used several times through the story. The story is mainly divided into three parts.
