Diagnostic Essay

There are many things that have changed my perception of the world. However being only 16 years old, I am easily influenced, and I also suffer from limited life experience. For most of my live I have lived in a sleepy town called Edgewood. Nothing exciting ever happens. To this day we rarely lock our doors and everyone knows everything about everybody.
One film that I found interesting and have seen numerous times is “Save the Last Dance”. In this movie a girl names Sara is my age and is suddenly yanked out of her secure home and environment. Due to her recent death of her mother she is forced to give up her dream of dancing and must reside with a father she’s never known. She lives in a rundown apartment in the Bronx of New York City. She is the only white girl in an all black high school.
