Destiny vs. Free Will

I was born to be a star. It was my destiny to marry you. A phrase often times heard yet not always agreed with. When something is written in the stars, is it really predetermined by the heavens above? According to notions of destiny YES! Precisely that.
Woman or man at conception has their life mystically drawn out on this huge blue print from birth to death.
Oppositely, the idea of free will states that one's life is the result of their actions. Living your life by your own beliefs, thus choosing what will become of you. It is the simple ability to choose without coercion or restraint. In Oedipus Rex, a play by Sophocles, we witness first hand fate or destiny vs. free will.
