In the beginning there was math. And man saw that math was good and started building upon that. In the 1500's, one of the first inventions to revolutionize the world was a simple machine that could add and subtract. This machine was called a calculator. Leonardo de Vinci was credited as the first one to come up with the idea and draw the plans out to make it. Later on in the 1640's, it would be Blaise Pascal that would build such a device and call it the “Arethmetic Machines”.* He built this machine in order to help the world escape the confines of doing extreme addition in one's head, and to help count money as his father often performed. Unbeknownst to Pascal, the actions and tasks performed by this simple machine would be similarly implemented by machines in the 21st century. Decaes went on as more inventions an innovations began to make simple machines into complex powerhouses of technology.
The term “personal computer” began to be used...
