The Bear That Wasn’t


The Bear That Wasn’t could very well be the epitome of our United States society. This short children’s story could be in fact be the bible to our culture for as far as we’re concerned. The book discusses the way a person or group tend to react when society gets in the way of their thinking. The book also portrays the American “identity” process, and influenced the public can be by its surroundings, and how much of this country is put to waste by out throw away society.
Throughout the years of your life, a main goal is to figure who you are, and who you want to become. Its hard enough to begin answering this tough question of who you want to be; then when you throw in society’s ideas on who you should be or become, it makes things a whole lot harder.
