Decriptive passage

When writing descriptive text it is important to use all 5 senses. As seen below.

The weak but holy light borne down from the waning moon is just enough for your mortal eyes to see by. With no ability for anything else the world is softened down under pale shivering tones. And though the world is blurred there is no comfort there, not enough light to keep you feeling safe, and not too little to make the fingers of dread around your heart tighten as to make you run back into the safety of your home. You cannot feel too alone here though because while there is no real wind to break the peace with its dirge, only the faint whisper of invisible breezes caressing the trees, it is not altogether silent. The chirping choir of the cicadas see to that.
In this darkness you cannot look far into the distance before shadows envelope the landscape but you can feel the empty open space all around you. The grass on this field has grown until it brushes at the tips of your ankles, startling your ...
