The Decriminalization of Marijuana

I lived in a Fundamental Baptist family growing up, and I was taught never to use drugs. Our family felt that most drugs today have been extremely abused. We felt that drugs contribute to the reason why America has so many problems with violence, sex, and immorality. Within my household we never discussed our opinions on any type of drug. Certainly, a problem such as marijuana in our house was something that we would never encounter. Currently, the political realm and media are discussing the possible legalization of marijuana. The main reason why I did my Field Study Project on this topic is because I am generally curious. Through this paper I would like to discover my own opinion based on a survey, an interview, and extensive research.
