Deconstruction of the hero tale 'Theseus and the Minotaur'

I’m alone, cold, isolated. This is the way it has always been. For as long as I can remember. Although I cannot remember any other lifestyle I am certain that there is something better out there for me. I know this because it is what keeps me going from day to day as I wander the endless passageways, which I call my home. Its hope that keeps me going and its hope that will get me out of here.
I don’t know who I am, or what I am. Although what I do know is that I am not normal. If I were, people who have come into contact with me in my home would not have run off screaming or tried to kill me. It is not my destiny to get killed in a trap so I have decided to myself that once and for all, I will not continue to be like a mouse in a maze. I am going to escape.
The doors to my chamber are opened every full moon, and its then when the strangers wander and prepare for their attacks on me. Although this time will be different, after this time I will be free.
Through...
