The short story, “The Story of an Hour” written by Kate Chopin during the late 1800’s is a dramatic interpretation that explores Mrs. Mallard’s unexpected reaction to her husband’s assumed death and reappearance. During this one hour, she receives an incorrect message of her husband’s death, realizes her liberation, and then tragically passes away.
