Death penalty

There have been two opposing views about facing the death penalty in modern times. One view states that the death penalty should retain as a mode to punish any serious criminals. Another view, in contrast to the first one, believes that the death penalty is not suitable for modern society anymore. It is really a matter of choice, to choose the first view or the second one. In my view, no human has the right to take the life of another therefore it should be abolished as soon as possible.

The Capital punishment has existed on the earth throughout the centuries. Baker(1999) states that the first established death penalty laws date as far back as the 18th century B.C. in the Code of King Hammaurabi of Babylon, which classified the death penalty for 25 different crimes.
