Death of Ivan Ilyich

While I was reading The Death of Ivan Ilyich, I kept thinking back to The Horse on the Dining Room Table. The way that Ivan was treated throughout the dying process was very similar to the denial and ignorance spoken of in The Horse on the Dining Room Table.
