Why can’t I just go over there and talk to her? I’ve done it a thousand times before, but this time it’s different. This time I’m asking her on a date. A date. Those four letters promise fun, excitement and a chance for love, but they usually result in pain, sorrow, and a scar that won’t heal.

Adam Sandler once said that initiating conversation is half the battle. To me it’s more than just a battle; to me it’s the Seven year war. A simple “hi my name is” should be fine to start off a conversation. Sure it’s bland and a bit old fashioned, but it’s a quick and simple way to start. Then this is the part where we ramble on with small talk trying to get to know one another.
