Dangers of Cell Phone use while driving

On December 2, 1999 Patty Pena and her daughter, 2 year old Morgan Lee, took a short trip to her sister’s house for playtime. When it was nearing Morgan Lee’s nap time Patty strapped her up in the car seat to take her home to her crib. Two minutes later Patty turned around to see her little baby bleeding from her head, with glass all around. Morgan Lee Pena was not breathing. A man whose attention was not on the road or on the vehicle he was driving ran a stop sign at 45 mph, broadsided her vehicle killing Morgan as she sat in her car seat. The man driving had his attention on the cellular phone call he was making.
As you can see Morgan never got the chance to grow up because one man felt that dialing a cell phone was a higher priority than focusing on the road. To make this story even more disturbing is that this man only received a $50 fine and 2 driving tickets.
