Dale

Dale Earnhardt was born on April 29,1951 in a town called Kannapolis North Carolina. His father was named Ralph Earnhardt. Dale had four children. Their names were Dale Jr., Kerry, Kelly King, and Taylor. His wife was Teresa Earnhardt (Tribute).
The early years in racing was not earnhardts good years. In his first Winston Cup start he finished 22nd at the 1975 World 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. But the inauspicious performance gave no hint of what was to come for the high school dropout from Kannapolis. Four years later, with nine Winston cup starts under his belt, the 27-year old was a full time competitor, driving for Rod Osterland. He earned rookie-of-the-year honors. He was the only driver to win rookie-of-the-year and the Winston cup championship back to back. But after that he started to have some bad luck. He lost his crew chief and did bad that season (Dale).
