U.S. Looks to Ease Tensions In Asia

The Deputy Secretary of State has planned a five nation trip. The purpose of this trip is to bring peace between not only India and Pakistan but also China and Taiwan. India and Pakistan continue to dispute about the ownership of Kashmir. There is hope of peace talks to take place between the two countries. Upon his visit to China and Taiwan, Richard Armitage hopes to bring China and Taiwan to terms with their disagreement about Taiwan declaring formal independence.
