Culturing Bacteria

„« 2 Small Petri dishes with nutrient Agar
„« Glass-Marking Pen
„« 4 Sterile cotton swabs
„« Distilled Water
„« Tape
„« Protective Gloves





The first day we started this lab, we got out supplies to make sure we have everything. We then made our graph and picked three swabbing surfaces. You would label your Petri dishes into quadrants, four sections. Next you would Wipe the swab in distilled water then rub the surface chosen. You then rub the same swab on the agar after it¡¦s already been rubbed against your picked surface which is on the Petri dishes. After you rubbed your three surfaces you tape your Petri dishes shut and put them in an incubator.
