Culture in Business

PART I

Inevitably, when different cultures collaborate in an effort to do business, there will be a multitude of issues that must be recognized, dealt with and over come in order for successful business dealings to transpire. There are a great number of culturally sensitive and inter-ethnic issues that, if understood, can be used to manifest a successful business relationship and therefore contribute to the victory of cross-cultural endeavors. Due to the severe economical and social diversity of Japan and Canada, these two nations are predispositioned to have dissimilarities in the way they conduct their business affairs. Below I will discuss some of the most predominant issues that these two cultures might endure how they can be reconciled for an efficient business atmosphere, and why my recommendations will be a successful method of bridging this substantial cultural gap.
