Culture Comparison

Culture is the language, beliefs, values, behaviors, and material objects that are passed on from one generation to the next. Examining and appreciating cultural differences is an important part of being a sociologist. Recognizing the uniqueness of every culture is key. People of different cultures and backgrounds have always interested me. It is fascinating learning different ways people do things, the various traditions they have, and their way of life. This paper will demonstrate how people from New York and Maryland are similar, and how they are different in terms of material culture.
