Culloden 1746 Book Review

The book, Culloden 1746, was a fantastic account of the battle between Charles Edwards Army, the Jacobites, and William Augustus’ Army, the Royal Army, at Culloden Moor on April 16, 1746. The book spans a frame of time between July 1745, before the war, and September 1746, after the war. The book provides many details and accounts of war strategy and maps that were laid out by the opposing forces. The book also gives great detail to how the two armies were laid out and what their plans were going into battle. In the writing of the book the author proved that the two armies were different from each other in the value of their men and what the leaders held to the cause of the battle. The author suggests that Charles felt that he was the rightful heir to the thrones of England and Scotland and he planned to overthrow the King and take the throne himself. The author describes...
