Creon
Throughout the course of history, there have been many kings and leaders ruling the great ancient cities. Sometimes these rulers would be heartless and do anything to make things go there way, and other times you get a ruler who is proud to be in control and listens to his people. That is not the case in the play Antigone. Here, we have a man named Creon who is put into power because he is the next family member in line to do so. He tries to be a good ruler and thinks he is doing everything right, but problems come across. He tries to fix them with his power but the more power he uses the worse it gets.
Creon is much similar, in a way, to his preceding rulers. He came from a family life that was a little distorted. In is past, there have been murders in his family and incest, but that was unknown. He grew up knowing only high powered people because of his close family. That is what made Creon who he is today. He thought he would be different fro...
