Creative Reagind in Othello

The great play writer, William Shakespeare, said, “Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more.” Could it be that life is just one big play and people are merely characters in this prescribe script? Drama is certain a comparison to life. The drama genre brings life and action to words on a page. There is no other literary work that brings such parallels to reality. A drama is created though a story told in action by actors who impersonate the characters.
Aristotle called drama an imitated human action. How does one become a creative reader in order to fulfill the requirements of a drama? The reader must use his or her imagination. One must go beyond the contextual meaning of the words on the paper in order gain the greater understanding of the text.
