Cost of caregiving

The cost of caregiving rarely crosses a person mind. Long–Term Care costs average nearly $50,000 annually according to an article I read. When thinking about this figure many people including myself mistakenly believe, "it won’t happen to me." It is hard to imagine needing a caregiver when you’re old, yet it is projected that 43% of people who reach 65 will spend time in a nursing home. Cost of caregiving is very expensive. My grandmother for instance takes at least $1000- $2000 every month just to be taken care of.
