Safety is the most important aspect of personal training. Keeping your clients healthy and safe. There are many risk factors in exercise and resistance training. Coronary risks are a serious health concern. Always gain information about your clients present and past health status. If they do have coronary risks, always get a doctors clearance before continuing with any program. Some of the coronary risks may include coronary heart disease, hypertension , low HDL, family history, smoking, and high cholesterol. Some of these risk factors can be changed.

Smoking is a coronary risk factor that can be changed. Smoking increases the change of coronary artery disease and the chance of dying from it. Smokers are more likely to have sudden heart attacks and die from heart attacks. The obvious change is to quit smoking. Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is a serious coronary risk.
