Cooperation Is the Name of the Game

As this new millennium begins, schools are being called upon to perform many additional duties, and an ever-increasingly-hostile public is holding them accountable. The curricula schools are supposed to teach are becoming larger, the role the school plays in a child’s life is changing and new research in the field of education suggests we should alter our traditional teaching practices.
For better or worse, our society is changing. The role of a school has transformed; it is still a place where students learn and teachers teach, but it is also beginning to resemble a foster parent. According to Spencer Kagan, children are coming to school ...
