Convenience foods

Convenience foods are now a major part of every New Zealanders diet. The role they play in our society is becoming increasingly more evident, because they are quick, easy and cheap to cook. Some contain a lot of fats and sugars and can be bad for you if you eat too much of them. Some children have developed allergies and hyperactive conditions that can be traced from poor diets, which have usually included convenience-like foods. The use of preservatives, colouring agents and other artificial chemicals are often added to many convenience foods to maintain their freshness and attractiveness to the consumer. Processed cheeses, which doesn’t even have to be kept in the fridge are just one of many products availible. Everything you eat and drink affects your body in some way, food is vital as it gives you energy to keep going as it gives you energy to keep you going.
