Conscription

Conscription was a very big issue, this usually exists between the nationalists willing to fight for their country, and the pacifist who just want their country to live in peace and stay out of trouble. This was quite similar in Canada’s case, where the francophone might have reasons of equality or peace to reject conscription, and the rest of the citizens might have ideas to be a patriot defending their country.
