The congressional representatives are elected out of separate districts, and the second district in Nebraska represents myself. The second districts heart is Omaha, the largest city in the state, and also includes the city of Bellevue as another point of importance. The district includes Douglas, Sarpy, and a small part of Cass counties. This district is the metropolitan home to agriculture and many insurance businesses, and its top employers are the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Nebraska Health System, Mutual of Omaha, and the Union Pacific Railroad. The district is consistently republican, anti-abortion, and also contains three quarters of the black population in the state. The second districts major industries are toll-free service centers and food processing, and the district is also home to the Offutt Air Force Base, which is a major military base.
