Confucianism: As A Way of Life?

During the Chou dynasty in 551-479 B.C. a man known as “the teacher” taught his students in China, this man was known as Confucius (or K’ung Fu-tzu). He was called “the teacher” because he gave the people in his surroundings most of the answers to questions they had and were striving to understand. The most reliable source of Confucius’ ideas came from the text known as “The Analects”. I believe that Confucianism and the ideas of human nature which come from this have several advantages; the beliefs give us rules, regulations and direction to put into affect in our everyday lives, and also gives us a feeling of self satisfaction.
Confucius’ ideas on human nature would work in a world like ours today because he primarily focused his studies on human welfare. With his ideas of family values and the golden rule, the world we live in would be in a more peaceful state of mind. He wasn’t too concerned however with the ...
