Confucius, Laozi, and Legalism in China

Confucius was born into poverty in 551BC in China. At the time, there was much conflict between people and leaders. Confucius soon began to think of ways to make China better. Instead of looking for a religious way to solve things, he taught more about respecting elders, importance of family, and respecting ancestors. He believed that it only took one person doing these simple things to eventually influence the world. This could also go in reverse; the world leaders could influence the world as well.
