Confucius

Confucius was the most influential and respected philosopher in Chinese history. Confucius was born in the town of Lu, in what is now the Shandong Province of China. His father died shortly after his birth, leaving his family impoverished. Confucius joined a growing class of poor descendants of aristocrats.
